Our February blizzard inspired me...feedback would be great!
Snow
Being gently lowered
on invisible strings,
tiny crystal sculptures
with facets sparking,
a million little diamonds
in the moonlight.
One soft breath of air
tinged with warmth
noiselessly vaporizes dozens
in a second
without thought.
A silent pure blanket,
falling softly
over the landscape,
gentle as down,
cold as ice.
Carelessly lifted
by a gust of wind
to quickly caress
the by-passer's cheek.
Eons of time pass
as slowly they fall,
a veritable army
marching silently,
laying siege to all.
Cut, as it were,
from pearls and diamonds,
fit in settings of
clearest silver,
hung on spools
of thin gold thread,
the snowflakes come.
